WEDGE (Hench Records) Wedge is our resident speaker at the seminar days and also an electronic producer with an experimental, deep and thoughtful tone. Drawing on a wide range of menacing atmospherics, haunting sonic soundscapes, chest rattling sub bass, and squelchy LFO frequencies, Wedge produces a journey into the depths of sound. His music encompasses a wide range of influences from glitch, techno, dub, 80’s electro, hip hop, metal, and obscure 70’s horror movies.
His music is as equally subversive and enthralling to listen to on headphones, as it is to dance hard to. In 2005 Wedge became a member of Bristol’s infamous HENCH crew with MC Jakes, Headhunter, Whiteboi, and Komonazmuk. Since then Wedge has played at some of the biggest events in the country and abroad including FWD, Blowpop, Glade Festival, Freak Camp, Sonic Warfare, Technicality, Drive By, Run, Sh*t the bed, Penguin Dance, Just Jack, HENCH and Sziget festival. A-List support of his music includes Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, N-Type, Appleblim and Mike Paradinas (Planet Mu).
